OPEN WATER DIVER
This is the first class in the scuba certification process. It is designed to give the basic skills needed to become a certified scuba diver. Classroom is offered weekly Friday night from 7:00pm-10pm and Saturday from 2:00pm-6:00pm at AZ-DiveBuddies. Twice Monthly on a Sunday pool sessions are offered in a Olympic-sized pool and are generally from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Exact times for Saturday and Sunday certification checkout dives sessions at the lake may vary, so contact us for exact times. You will want to come into the dive center and register at least one week prior to the desired class date, this will give you the time needed to complete the academic portions of the self study materials. Format:
Weekly Open Water Class
Certification / Checkout Lake dives Saturday & Sunday morning --- Mornings at Lake Pleasant lasting approximately 3 to 4 hours each morning depending on class size. Exact times to be announced in your class. Weekday schedules can be arranged at an additional cost.
Private Open Water Classes are also available. These are done at your schedule. Perfect for the busy professional. Call for details and price.
The tuition for Open Water Class includes:
Open Water Class & Pool $250.
Open Water manual, logbook, Instructor fees, tanks, weights, BC, regulator, wetsuit included. Personal gear (mask, snorkel, fins, boots, and timing device) is not included.
Open Water Certification Dives $200.
PIC fee, tanks, weights, BC, regulator, wetsuit included. Personal gear not included. Hoods and gloves may be necessary depending on time of year. (not included)
Private Open Water Class & Pool $350.
Open Water manual, logbook, Instructor fees, tanks, weights, BC, regulator, wetsuit included. Personal gear ( mask, snorkel., fins, and boots) is not included. This type of format is based on your time schedule, both classroom and pool sessions. Some time restrictions do apply.

- Rental of all SCUBA gear (BCD, Regulator, Tank, Weights, and Wet Suit) for both class and pool and certification dives. Personal gear is not included (see above requirements).
- DAN Diver Protection Insurance, while participating in Open Water training, both class and pool and certification dives.
- PADI Open Water Crew Pak (Books, tables, logbook, student file folder, and Certification Card)
- The best instructor to student ratio in the valley. This all we do, we don't sell camping gear or mountain bikes.

The purchase of personal equipment from AZ-Divebuddies is recommended to receive proper fit from our Instructors.

Failure to do so will result in the need to reschedule your session at additional cost.
